Ivanka Trump was born in Manhattan, to the American business magnate Donald Trump and his first wife Ivana (née Zelníčková), an athlete, model and socialite originally from Czechoslovakia.
Her parents divorced in 1991, when she was 10 years old. She has two brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric; a half sister, Tiffany and half brother, Barron.
Trump attended the Chapin School in New York until age 15,then transferred to and graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut.
She spent two years at Georgetown University, then transferred to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (her father's alma mater), graduating cum laude in 2004 with a B.S. in Economics.
